These terms describe what you can expect from Lumo and what we ask of you when you use the app. By creating an account or using Lumo, you agree to these terms.

The service

Lumo is a Bible study app provided to you as it is, with the goal of helping you build a daily rhythm of Scripture, reflection, and memory. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. You agree to give accurate information when you sign up. You must be at least 16 years old to use Lumo.

Your content

Reflections, notes, and answers you write inside Lumo belong to you. You give us a limited license to store and display them so we can run the app for you and show your own content back to you. We do not claim ownership of your writing.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Lumo to harass, threaten, or harm other people.
• Post content that is unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit.
• Try to break, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service.
• Use Lumo to send spam or scrape content at scale.

Bible content

Scripture text used inside Lumo is provided under the license of the relevant translation (currently the World English Bible). Course commentary and lesson content are © Lumo unless otherwise noted.

Subscriptions and paid features

Lumo is free to start, and some features may require a paid subscription such as Lumo Plus or Supporter. Plus and Supporter both unlock Plus access; Supporter is an optional higher-support tier that helps fund future courses and app development.

Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices, billing periods, renewal terms, taxes, trials, and available offers are shown in the app and by the relevant store before you confirm a purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them through the App Store or Google Play before the renewal date.

Billing, cancellation, payment method changes, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their store policies. Deleting your Lumo account does not cancel an active store subscription. If you delete your account, you should also cancel any active subscription through the store where you subscribed.

Subscription access is tied to your Lumo account and the purchase information we receive from the app stores through RevenueCat. If a payment fails, a subscription expires, or a store reports that access should end, paid features may become unavailable.

Termination

You can stop using Lumo and delete your account at any time (see Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm other users.

No warranty

Lumo is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Lumo and its team are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising out of your use of the app.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Lumo after a change means you accept the new terms.
